Alisandra Vega is a contemporary abstract painter based in the Southern United States. Her artistic style is characterized by fields of vibrant color and thin washes of paint that create a sense of movement and depth in each piece.
Through her work, Alisandra explores paint as a medium and color as a subject. Each painting is a careful study of how colors can interact with one another as she pushes and pulls paint across the surface to create pools of color that shift with the light.
At the heart of Alisandra's work is a deep appreciation for the way contrasting elements can create a sense of balance and harmony. Her paintings are an expression of the interplay between dark and light.
Grounded in the traditions of abstract expressionism and color field painting, Alisandraโs paintings invite viewers to immerse themselves in a world of color and movement, uninhibited by concrete language and imagery. Waves of color, fragments of images, and gestural mark-making create a unique visual language through which artist and viewer can communicate.
